Giving Tuesday

We are each other’s harvest.
We are each other’s business.
We are each other’s magnitude and bond.

- Gwendolyn Brooks

While our country is racked by divisive anger and fear, Brooks calls us to be our brave and better selves.  She names the deep need to be responsible for and to each other, and to see ourselves in community, not as isolated individuals.

I share these words as inspiration for you, and all who care about Cathedral – also knowing I will step down in early 2018.  During this time of change, I urge you to come together and deepen our shared business and bonds, and promise that  I will continue to support this agency in any way I can.

As I prepare to leave early next year, I want to leave the agency in the best possible shape, and am announcing an ambitious year-end goal of $250,000.  Thanks to the more than 300 generous people who supported our October event, we’re over halfway there!   Between now and December 31stt. I invite you to give, and to give generously.

About #GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 28. #GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners?to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.
